• Communications and Public Information

  Creates printed and digital information to keep residents up to date about Town of Vienna policies, services, events, and activities; works with local media and manages the Town's social media and website content.

• Department of Planning and Zoning

  Maintains and enforces regulations that ensure the Town of Vienna grows and develops in ways that support the Town's vision; assists with building and zoning permits, certificates of occupancy, conditional use permits, rezonings, subdivisions, and variances; staffs the Board of Architectural Review, Board of Zoning Appeals, Planning Commission, and Windover Heights Board of Review.

• Department of Public Works Public Works

• Economic Development

  The economic development office works to help cultivate and promote the Town of Vienna's long-term economic competitiveness and vibrancy, offering site selection assistance, space availability reports, promotional assistance, business counseling referrals, webinars, and grant program information.

• Finance Department Finance

  Handles finance and treasury operations: annual budget and capital improvement plan, capital financing, investment funds, purchasing, contracting, tax management and collection, and water and sewer billing.

• Human Resources

  Delivers comprehensive recruitment, employee, and benefit services, prepares special studies and policy reviews for the town manager and Town Council, and administers the Town's safety incentive and awards programs and risk management program.

  Provides leadership and support across a wide range of secure technology services and solutions for Town staff and elected officials, and maintains Town maps.

• Parks and Recreation Department Parks & Recreation

  The Parks and Recreation Department offers year round events, maintains 12 parks, offers facility and pavilion rentals, and provides hundreds of recreational and educational programs at the Vienna Community Center and Bowman House Arts & Craft Center.

  The Town of Vienna Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency employing 41 sworn officers and 11 civilian members. Services provided 24/7.

• Town Attorney

  Vienna's town attorney provides legal counsel and advice to Town Council, staff, and board and commission members, and prosecutes all misdemeanor criminal and traffic cases. The town attorney may not provide legal advice to the public.

• Town Council Legislative

  Vienna Town Council is composed of a mayor and six councilmembers. It establishes policies, passes ordinances and resolutions, approves the Town budget, sets tax rates, approves land-use plans, and makes appointments to Town boards and commissions.
