• Office of Emergency Management Emergency Management

  The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is responsible for coordinating activities within the Borough of South Toms River during potential or actual emergencies and/or disasters. • Office of the Municipal Clerk Clerk

  The Borough Clerk, as Secretary of the Municipal Corporation, is the Custodian of the Municipal Seal and maintains custody of all minutes, books, deeds, bonds, contracts and archival records of the Municipal Corporation. • Office of the Tax Collector Finance

  Part of the Borough's Tax & Finance Office. Property tax bills are mailed once a year, usually in mid-July; payments are due quarterly on February 1, May 1, August 1 and November 1 with a 10-day grace period. Payments may be made by check, cash, money order or online. Office hours Monday-Friday 8:30 am - 4 pm, extension 121.

• Zoning & Code Enforcement Planning

  Borough zoning office. Zoning permits must be obtained from South Toms River before a building permit; building, electrical, fire and plumbing permits are handled by the Toms River Building Department (33 Washington Street, Toms River, NJ 08753, 732-341-1000 Ext. 8320) under a shared services agreement. Rental/resale certificates, vacant property registration and zoning applications are filed through the Borough's Munilogic portal.
