  Office of the Borough Administrator of the Borough of Shrewsbury. The Borough Administrator is the chief agent of the Governing Body in the administration of municipal affairs and in the integration and coordination of activities of the various offices of the Borough. Office hours Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm, 419 Sycamore Avenue.

• Construction Office Planning

  Construction Office, including Land Use (previously Planning and Zoning) and Code Enforcement. Office hours 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday-Friday. Electrical, plumbing and building inspections by appointment.

• Department of Public Works Public Works

  Department of Public Works at 90 White Road, open Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm and Saturday 8:00am to 12:00pm. Handles household and bulk trash and recycling collection by zone, brush and leaf collection, the Borough Recycling Center (recycling pad), and pothole reports on Borough streets.

• Finance Department Finance

  Responsible for the receipt, safeguarding, investment, and distribution of Municipal funds, which includes tax collection, accounts payable, and payroll. Property taxes are payable quarterly on the first day of February, May, August and November, with a 10-calendar day grace period. Office hours Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

• Fire Marshal Fire

  Borough Fire Marshal's office, providing fire prevention inspections of all businesses, smoke detector/carbon monoxide compliance inspections for residential change of occupancy, fire cause and origin investigations, tent and permit required inspections, and site plan review for new construction.

• Municipal Clerk's Office Clerk

  Borough Clerk and Registrar of Vital Statistics. Handles birth, death and marriage records, dog and cat licensing, business and food licenses, elections, garage sales, limousine and liquor licenses, Open Public Records requests, insurance claims, and serves as secretary to the Mayor and Council. Office hours Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm.

• Office of Emergency Management Emergency Management

  Borough Office of Emergency Management, which publishes emergency preparedness information and coordinates the Shrewsbury CERT (Community Emergency Response Team). Inquiries can be submitted by email to oem@shrewsburyboro.com.

• Recreation Parks & Recreation

  Shrewsbury Recreation provides youth programs including soccer, softball, baseball, field hockey, basketball, summer camp, and flag football, and the Recreation Committee sponsors two yearly community events, an Easter Egg Hunt and a Santa Visit. Tennis and pickleball court reservations are made by calling 732-741-4200 ext 115.

• Shrewsbury Municipal Court Courts

  Shrewsbury Municipal Court. Court is held the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month; sessions are being scheduled virtually via Zoom until further notice. Tickets and time payments can be paid online at NJMCdirect (Court Code 1345), by mail, or at the Violations Bureau. Office hours Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm (payments until 3:30pm).
