• Building Department Planning

  Ensures safe and lawful use of buildings and properties under the International Building Code and local ordinances: building permits and inspections, zoning, occupancy inspections, property maintenance code enforcement, the rental registration program, and vacant/foreclosure building registration. Led by the Commissioner of Building & Zoning.

• Finance Department Finance

  Publishes the operating budget, tax levy and appropriation ordinances (the Village uses the Appropriation Ordinance System; fiscal year May 1-April 30), annual financial and Treasurer's reports, and IMRF disclosures. The Village Treasurer is a mayoral appointment.

• Office of the Mayor Administration

  The Mayor (Village President) supervises day-to-day operations of the Village of Round Lake Park and, with Village Board consent, appoints department heads, who report to the Mayor. Village Hall, 203 East Lake Shore Drive, open 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday.

• Public Works Department Public Works

  Maintains water, wastewater and storm drainage systems, cleans up vacant lots, maintains Village grounds, and keeps streets maintained and clear of ice and snow. 37 Porter Drive. For after-hours water main breaks or sewer backups call non-emergency dispatch (847) 270-9111.

• Round Lake Park Police Department Police

  Village police department at 215 East Main Street. Non-emergency dispatch (847) 270-9111; records (847) 546-7275, M-F 9am-4pm. The Police Chief is appointed by the Mayor with Board consent.

• Village Clerk Clerk

  Office of the elected Village Clerk (who also serves as Village Collector): meeting agendas, ordinances, FOIA requests and ADA grievances. Village Hall, 203 E. Lake Shore Dr.

• Water Department Utilities

  Village water and sewer billing. Lake Michigan water is supplied by the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency (JAWA). Bills are issued bimonthly, due the 5th of the due month; shut-off day is the third Monday of the due month.
