• Department of Administration and Finance Finance

  Led by the Administrative and Finance Director, who oversees all city departments except the Safety Forces, handles finance and audit reporting, and serves as acting Mayor for the first seven days of the Mayor's absence. Municipal income tax is collected under contract by the Central Collection Agency (CCA).

• Fire Department Fire

  Mentor-on-the-Lake Fire Department provides fire suppression, rescue, hazmat, fire investigation, prevention/education and EMS for about 8,000 residents. The station next to City Hall is staffed around the clock. Non-emergency (440) 257-7223.

• Office of the Mayor Administration

  Mentor-on-the-Lake has been a charter city since 1966 with a Strong Mayor form of government. The Mayor is the city's Chief Executive Officer and Safety Director. Office at City Hall, 5860 Andrews Road, Mentor-on-the-Lake, OH 44060.

• Police Department Police

  Mentor-on-the-Lake Police Department, 5860 Andrews Road. Staffed by a Chief, Lieutenant, two Sergeants, patrol officers, a Detective and dispatchers who also handle records and court preparation; maintains a jail for prisoners awaiting Mentor Municipal Court. • Service Department Public Works

  Administers, builds and maintains all public works: 45.5 miles of roadway, 16.3 miles of storm sewer, 6 miles of open ditches and 31.3 acres of parks and public lands, plus police and service fleet maintenance. Report potholes, damaged signs and streetlight outages at (440) 257-7216.

  Administers the Zoning Code, zoning and building permits (via Cloudpermit), housing inspections (point of sale, rental, vacant building) and housing health and safety complaints.
