• Administration

  The City Administrator works closely with the Mayor, is an advisor to the City Council, and oversees the daily operations of City staff.

• Building Inspection/ Zoning

  The Building Inspections Department is responsible for ensuring that building and zoning codes are followed to ensure public welfare. Residential and commercial permit applications take 10-15 business days to process.

• City Clerk Clerk

  The City Clerk is the official custodian of municipal public records and provides information on licenses, permits, council minutes and agendas, elections, Board of Review, Board of Zoning Appeals, and City ordinances.

• Finance Finance

  The City Finance Department provides information on property taxes, water and sewer rates/billing, special assessments, parking permits, and pet licenses.

• Fire Department Fire

  Provides critical care paramedic level EMS, fire suppression, hazardous materials response, technical rescue, fire inspection code enforcement, and public education for the City of Menomonie and eight surrounding townships. Founded in 1885.

• Parks & Recreation Parks & Recreation

  The mission of the Menomonie Recreation Department is to be a leading provider or facilitator of high-quality recreation services, programs, and facilities that will improve the quality of life for the citizens of Menomonie. Located in the Leisure Services Center.

• Police Department Police

  The mission of the Menomonie Police Department is to collaborate with the community to provide a safe and peaceful environment while protecting the liberties of all persons.

• Public Works Public Works

  The Public Works Director is responsible for all utilities provided to the citizens of Menomonie and oversees the Water, Wastewater, Solid Waste, and Street departments.

• Solid Waste & Recycling

  The City offers solid waste and recycling pick-up services for the community, and operates the City Solid Waste & Recycling drop-off site (Tuesdays and Thursdays 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays 7 a.m. to noon).

• Water Utility

  City of Menomonie Water Utility (under Public Works). Services include water leak detection, meter maintenance, hydrant maintenance, and distribution line maintenance; flushes water mains every spring.
