• Finance Department Finance

  The Finance Director supervises accounts payable, financial reports and statements, the City's accounting and financial records system, and payroll; publishes audits, budgets and tax rate notices.

• Fire Department Fire

  Fire protection and emergency services for nearly 7,000 residents across about five square miles, from Station 1 behind the Civic Center at 505 E Craven Ave. Paid Fire Chief and administrative staff with 25 volunteer firefighter positions; ISO Class 3 since 2019; car seat checks.

• Inspections Planning

  Building inspection and permits: building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, demolition, irrigation and certificate of occupancy permits, plan review, contractor registration and flood plain information. Uses the 2018 International codes and 2023 National Electrical Code (adopted March 14, 2023).

• Municipal Court Courts

  Adjudicates Class C misdemeanor cases (traffic, city ordinance, state code, juvenile and parking). Court is held at 1 p.m. on second (non-contested) and fourth (contested) Wednesdays by appointment. Lacy Lakeview City Hall, 501 E Craven Ave; Monday through Friday 7am-3pm.

  Streets, utilities and parks; current projects include a second water tie-in at Gholson Road and a planned sewer upgrade on Old Central serving the Spring Lake area; stormwater management.

• Water Department Utilities

  Accepts fees for city services, prepares work orders to start or stop water service and check leaks, dispatches Streets/Utilities/Parks personnel, and monitors the water system. Lacy Lakeview purchases water from the City of Waco and keeps an emergency well system. Sanitation via Waste Management.
