• Animal Control Animal Services

  The Animal Control Officer is responsible for enforcing State laws and local ordinances pertaining to the welfare and control of domestic, exotic and wild animals. Located at 28 Bow Wow Lane. Impoundment fees are fixed by the city commission (first offense $25 per animal plus $10/day boarding).

• Building Inspections & Code Enforcement Planning

  The Code Enforcement Office enforces the City of Hawkinsville and Pulaski County's Property Maintenance Code relating to housing and property standards, and is also responsible for building inspections. Located at City Hall, 56 Broad Street; permits for both city and county can be obtained there 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.

• City Hall (City Manager's Office) Administration

  City of Hawkinsville City Hall at 56 Broad Street. The City Manager executes the policy decisions of the City Commissioners and leads the City organization by overseeing the administration of City departments, advises the Board on operational and financial matters, and submits an annual operating and capital budget for the Board's consideration. City Hall issues occupational tax (business) and alcohol licenses.

• Economic Development & Main Street Economic Development

  Hawkinsville-Pulaski County Economic Development and Main Street office at 56 Broad Street Suite 102. Contact for Economic Development, Pulaski County-Hawkinsville Development Authority, Main Street, Downtown Development Authority, and Historic Preservation Commission inquiries. Office hours Monday-Friday 8 AM to 5 PM.

• Hawkinsville Municipal Court Courts

  The Hawkinsville Municipal Court is a non-jury court responsible for adjudicating cases pertaining to the violation of municipal ordinances. Arraignment and trial cases are handled the same day; court begins at 9:00 a.m. Probation is handled by Judicial Alternatives of Georgia (JAG) Probation. Office hours Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5 PM except holidays.

• Public Works Department Public Works

  City of Hawkinsville Public Works. The City contracts with Ryland Environmental for the removal of solid waste and yard debris; yard waste is picked up every other week per the published collection schedule.

• Utilities Department Utilities

  City of Hawkinsville water, sewer, natural gas and garbage utility services, billed by the City. Utility bills are due by the 10th of each month; a 10% penalty is assessed after the 10th and services are discontinued if unpaid by the 20th.
