• Mobile County Administration Administration

  The County Administrator's Office works with the Mobile County Commissioners and other elected County officials to facilitate the delivery of services. The Administrator directs the County's administrative departments and serves as the budgetary agent for all County offices.

• Mobile County Animal Control Animal Services

  Consists of the Mobile County Animal Shelter and Animal Control Field Operations. Enforces Mobile County animal control ordinances and Alabama statutes in unincorporated Mobile County, investigates abuse and neglect, and promotes shelter pet adoptions.

• Mobile County Board of Equalization Assessment

  Citizen board of review that hears appeals of the fair market value placed on property by the Revenue or License Commission. It does not take appeals on exemptions, tax amounts or fees; decisions are effective for one year.

  Registers citizens to vote and maintains the voter database for the County.

• Mobile County Emergency Management Agency Emergency Management

  Established in 1952; a June 8, 1987 Mobile County Commission resolution made the Mobile County Emergency Management Agency the county's emergency management organization.

• Mobile County Engineering Public Works

  Supervises design and construction of County-funded facilities and roads, planning and development, right-of-way and utility permitting, and traffic engineering.

• Mobile County Environmental Enforcement Environment

  Enforces the Mobile County Junk Control Ordinance and Alabama State Litter Laws in unincorporated Mobile County, investigates illegal dumping complaints, removes dead animals from County rights of way and runs litter crews.

  Manages the Environmental Grants Program, the MS4 Stormwater Management Program and the Conservation Property Management Program; also responsible for environmental regulatory compliance, solid waste management, community resilience and disaster recovery.

  Delivers support services for County facilities, made up of Facilities Design and Construction, Building Maintenance, Custodial Services and Electronics; also supports the Sheriff, License and Revenue Commissioners, Communication District, courts and EMA.
