Departments

• Baltimore City Council Legislative

  The legislative branch of Baltimore City government, consisting of 14 district council members and a Council President elected citywide (15 total members).
• Baltimore City Department of Public Works Public Works

  Baltimore City's Department of Public Works, responsible for water, wastewater, solid waste, and infrastructure services.
• Baltimore City Fire Department Fire

  Baltimore City's fire suppression and emergency services agency with more than 1,600 uniformed personnel, led by Fire Chief James W. Wallace.
• Baltimore City Health Department

  Baltimore City Health Department, one of the oldest continuously operating health departments in the United States. Led by Commissioner Dr. Michelle Taylor.
• Baltimore City Mayor's Office

  Office of the Mayor of Baltimore City, led by the 52nd Mayor Brandon M. Scott. Oversees city administration and executive functions.
• Baltimore City Sheriff's Office

  Baltimore City Sheriff's Office responsible for court security, service of process, and warrant execution. Led by elected Sheriff Sam Cogen.
• Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office

  Office of the State's Attorney for Baltimore City, responsible for prosecuting criminal cases. Led by State's Attorney Ivan J. Bates, the 26th person to hold the office.
• Baltimore Police Department Police

  Baltimore City's primary law enforcement agency, led by Police Commissioner Richard J. Worley.
