Description

The building and zoning administrator interprets and enforces the zoning ordinance, the subdivision control ordinance, the unsafe structure ordinance and the rental property registration ordinance. The administrator reviews building and site plans before a building permit is issued, reviews subdivision applications and plats, and provides technical support to the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Plan Commission. All inspections are conducted by the Bartholomew County Department of Technical Code via contract. Office at 404 Jackson Street, Hope, IN 47246.
